The No.1 Way to Save Money in your Kids Crafting Club

The No.1 Way to Save Money in your Kids Crafting Club

If you’ve been following us for a while, you already know how mildly (read: seriously) obsessed we are with crafting with RECYCLED MATERIALS.
There’s a good reason for that!

Today we’re sharing our top 4 reasons why using recycled materials is a great way to save money in your in-person arts and crafts club.

Today’s freebie is a FREE Craft Supply & Recycled Items Checklist, which will assist you in getting started on the greatest arts and crafts projects you can do with your pupils. To access your immediate download, click the image below.

1: It’s good for the planet and cuts down on your supply costs significantly!

How many of us have truly put the slogan “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” into action? We’ve all heard it. Our environment is being negatively impacted by pollution, which has become a huge global problem.

Many people mistakenly believe that their efforts to protect the environment won’t be sufficient to have an impact. One plastic packet recycled properly could save the life of a turtle.

Recycling benefits the earth and your bank account equally. Use old cereal boxes and shoeboxes from home in place of buying new cardboard sheets and boxes.

Although it may not first seem pricey, purchasing new things adds up quickly! Use what you already have at home to keep your piggy bank full.

2: It teaches kids valuable life lessons

Kids are conditioned to believe they will be unable to craft without fancy new supplies if they are constantly given those supplies, but in truth, they don’t actually need fancy supplies to be creative—they can make something lovely out of anything!
This teaches students the mindset and techniques necessary to deal with difficulties in the real world, which are seldom presented to you in a convenient form.
Using old pieces of “trash” and turning them into something beautiful teaches kids to see the potential in anything and encourages them to be extra creative.
The fact that materials like egg cartons, paper cups, and shoeboxes may be transformed into a variety of objects is sufficiently demonstrated by our collection of more than 100 craft lesson plans.
Additionally, it only goes to show that, with the correct decoration, one man’s garbage truly may turn into another man’s treasure.
3: Teaches the ‘Recycling Crafter’s Mindset’

The ‘Recycling Crafter’s Mindset’ is something we promote in all of our craft lesson plans; essentially, it refers to a sense of flexibility in finding materials that will work.

Applying a “what else can I use?” mentality will help if you don’t have a specific material on hand for your craft.

Your mentality inspires you to think imaginatively and outside the box.
The ability to solve problems is one that is important in many aspects of life and should be taught to all children at an early age.

4: It encourages community, friends and family involvement

The ability to unite your community in pursuit of a common purpose is the best aspect of employing recycled materials for your crafts club.
Ask your friends, family, students, and neighbours to help you with the collection! They’ll be eager to pitch in because it allows kids to make a difference and make them feel involved.
Gaining support is crucial when starting a business, but it can occasionally be challenging for our friends and family to do so—not because they don’t want to, but sometimes because they are unsure of how.
A fantastic approach for them to get involved and support your business endeavours is to ask them to assist you with recycling!
