Easy Recycled Arts and Craft Ideas for Kids

The day has arrived when you don’t need to go out and get every single material required from a craft store. Why? Because your home or classroom probably already contains practically everything you need for numerous DIY projects! Recycled arts and crafts can teach kids about sustainable practises and the value of reusing, recycling, and repurposing. They are ideal for entertaining class activities. Additionally, you can save money by not having to buy supplies! Among the many household goods that can be recycled for a range of class projects are cereal boxes, milk and egg cartons, bottles, cans, and jars. Here are some arts and crafts projects you can perform with your students.

T-shirt Tote Bag

Only two supplies are needed for this creative project: an old t-shirt and scissors. Most people have worn-out t-shirts lying around their homes that may eventually be disposed of. Make some tote bags out of these leftover home materials! Additionally, you avoid squandering money by not having to go out and purchase them. These bags can be used for a variety of occasions, including shopping, beach visits, and road travels.

You must cut a few small pieces of the garment according to the easy directions. However, if you’re working on this activity with young children, watch over and help them as they use the scissors.

Musical Instruments

Any child would adore this craft because it is so much fun! The supplies are quite simple to locate, and your pupils are even welcome to bring them from home. They consist of used paper or construction paper, extra toilet paper or paper towel rolls, paper plates, and snack containers. Four various types of homemade musical instruments are featured in the film, and yes, they sound great too!

Aluminum Can Designs

Bring in aluminium cans from home and let your pupils construct their very own plant pots or pencil holders. Depending on how your pupils wish to decorate, other materials may be required, but often no more than four are needed. A can and some design and decoration supplies, such as hot glue, paint, string, glitter, and/or stickers, are all that are required for this project.

Paper Butterflies

These lovely paper butterflies are great for adding to other projects or used as classroom decorations. There are only three supplies needed: a pencil, pipe cleaners, and any paper that can be reused. This craft project is really simple to complete and is great for the environment.

Potato Chip Bag to Flowers

An empty bag of potato chips, a bottle cap, paper, scissors, and a hot glue gun are all that are needed for this craft. It can absolutely be completed by most grade levels because it requires numerous straightforward cuts and glueing. The finished product is a bouquet of stunning, sparkling flowers! These might be used to spruce up a classroom.

With these projects, your pupils will undoubtedly love using their creativity. Not every material used for projects with your students needs to be a reusable household item. Even using one or two reusable things can significantly improve learning outcomes and teach children how to be resourceful.
