On April 22nd, which is Earth Day, we have some creative craft ideas for you. For you and your kids to work on, we’ve gathered some of our favourite projects. Kids may utilise their imaginations while learning about recycling and repurposing.
An Earth Day Nature Crown is a unique creation that our friend Karimah from Crafting A Fun Life made for us to share in remembrance of Earth Day.
What you’ll need:
- cardboard that has been recycled (flexible like a cereal, beverage, or snack box)
- stick glue with a hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Recycling bag or a tape bucket
- Nature-related objects: twigs, acorns, pine needles, grass, and leaves
Directions:
1.To gather the components for your crown, go on a nature scavenger expedition. Look for things like pine needles, twigs, acorns, leaves, etc. Put them in your bucket or recycling bag.
2. From the recycled cardboard, cut two strips. The crown will then be formed by taking your child’s head measurement. Use a hot glue gun or tape the strips together.
3. Specify the natural materials your child wants to use for their crown. Keep in mind that if you add too many objects, the crown will become too heavy to wear.
4. Apply nature-themed embellishments to the cardboard crown with care using a hot glue gun. By handing each component that needs to be adhered to the crown, your child can assist.
5. Allow your youngster to proudly display their crown at home or at school, and then. Celebrate Earth Day!
