Recycled Craft Ideas For Kids To Do At Home

boredom among children? Here are six craft projects for kids that you can do at home with recycled materials.

I have some fantastic, cost-free recycled craft ideas for kids that they can make using the items in your recycling bin if you are running out of things to keep them occupied.

The crafts are all a lot of fun and suitable for children as young as in the nursery school. Therefore, adult supervision and, in some situations, assistance, are unquestionably necessary.

6 Recycled Craft Ideas For Kids To Do At Home

Here are six recycled craft projects you and your children may make:

1. Tin Can Telephone Craft

The long-time favourite  Although it requires a lot of adult assistance, this craft is a lot of fun.

Two tin cans should preferably have been opened with a tin can opener with a smooth edge to prevent any sharp edges from remaining inside.  If you can’t do that, you can tape over the edge to make it secure. Create a hole in the bottom of the container using a nail and hammer. With the knot on the inside of the can, tie a long piece of string between the two and begin conversing.

2. Recycled Tin Can Stilts Craft For Kids

For the time being, let’s stick with cans, they also make excellent stilts.  If you have older children, larger tins are better; otherwise, use tiny cans for little folks. Again, an adult is required for this specific kid’s craft project.

Make two holes on the bottom edge of the can using a nail and hammer to create tin can stilts. After that, fasten a loop of string there so your children may grab onto it. Your children are solely responsible for the decoration.

3. Crafty Toilet Roll Owls

Kids will love making owls out of empty toilet paper tubes as they are an easy craft project.

Simply join the toilet paper tube’s two edges at one end to create the ears, then start colouring with a pen. Your youngsters can also begin cutting and sticking if you have some coloured paper from an old magazine.  Even afterward, you can hang them up with some rope to create a pretty show!

4. Plastic Bottle Bowling

If you happen to have a few plastic bottles lying around in your recycling bin (I occasionally enjoy a glass of sparkling water; it’s a guilty pleasure), get them all together to create your own DIY recycled bowling set.

The outside of the bottles can be customised by children whichever they desire. Another entertaining way to embellish them is to squirt some paint inside, tighten the top, and then have your kids shake it until the interior is thoroughly covered. Line them up once they’re finished, and then use a light ball as your bowl.  Striiiiiike!

5. Crafty Bottle Cap Memory Game

You’ll need a sizable collection of similar bottle caps for this kid-friendly DIY project.

Stick a piece of paper with a number or a small picture (provided you have a copy) into each bottle cap. Each number or image should be used twice before being nicely arranged. The objective of the game is to choose two of the same as you turn over two each time. Once you’ve chosen a pair, remove them from the game and carry on. At the conclusion, whomever has the most pairs wins.

6. Recycled Tin Can Drums

With this additional classic kids’ activity, we’re going back to the tin cans.  This time, a drum constructed from a balloon and a tin can.  If you want a headache or if your grandparents or babysitter are coming over, you may also add some old rice to the mixture.

Simply fill your empty can with a small amount of rice or lentils to prepare.  If the end of the tin is sharp, tape it. Cut the balloon’s end off, then stretch it over the top of the can.  After that, finish by wrapping it with an elastic band.

How can I use it to generate noise? You may make drumsticks out of some chopsticks or skewers.  To prevent the sticks from poking their eyes, you might wish to cover the ends with sizable plasticine balls.
