- Find an image of the sky for “blue” and a photo of the grass for “green,” for instance. Create your own vibrant patterns by chopping or tearing the sky and grass into tiny pieces.
- Use these more compact pieces to make amusing mosaic patterns. Colourful pages can be torn into pieces or cut into squares, then glued into a pattern on a sheet of construction paper.
- Cut or break up pieces of yellow paper, and then paste them onto your paper to create petals for a charming sunflower.
- For the flower’s centre, use brown scraps, and for the stems and leaves, use green. Be even more comprehensive and fill in the sky and clouds for the background of your creation with blue and white.
