4 Autumn Crafts Made From Natural and Recycled Materials
It’s so much fun to decorate for festivals and special occasions. It’s fun to welcome in a new season by decorating your dining room table, porch, or doorway with festive accents.
The beautiful thing is that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a strong statement. A variety of items that would often be recycled can be dressed up to make a chic or quirky décor. Additionally, there are many items that you can find when foraging, such acorns, coloured leaves, and pinecones, all of which create stunning, cost-free, and extremely eco-friendly decorations.
Sometimes it’s good to not have to store away boxes of holiday and seasonal décor. You can compost or recycle your crafts when the season is over if you use natural materials or used bottles and cans.
1. Wine Bottle Scarecrow
Especially for youngsters, this craft is so much fun and would look amazing as a countertop or dining table decoration. An empty, spotless glass wine bottle is all you need. Find some clean straw, hay, or maybe some raffia for crafting. After that, fill the bottle with the hay, leaving only a small tuft protruding from the top.
There aren’t too many regulations, and nothing has to be flawless since we are constructing a shoddy scarecrow. Create a hat for your scarecrow out of some discarded fabric strips or hessian. The fabric’s edges can be frayed to give it a more rustic appearance.
Draw a cute scarecrow face on the bottle using paint or markers, if you have them available.
