15 Amazing Things You Can DIY From Repurposed Hangers

Like me, you probably have a tonne of hangers. I mean, my home has ten or more closets, and they are all stocked with wooden, plastic, and wire hangers.

Even though we don’t use that many hangers, you never know when you might need them, don’t you think?

I recently considered getting rid of some of them, but then I decided to make DIY items out of them instead.

There must be something I can make out of those hangers since I love a good upcycling project, right?

1. DIY Neon Nonslip Hangers

Even if using those old wire hangers is the cheapest option, it’s not the most attractive. How can you handle that? With only a little amount of yarn, you can transform regular wire hangers into these lovely neon non-slip hangers. These are not only stunning, but they will prevent dresses and other articles of clothes from slipping off while they hang in the closet.

2. Repurposed Wire Hanger Book Holder

An attractive book or magazine holder that you can hang on the wall or over the back of a door can be made from a wire hanger.

The beautiful thing about this craft is that all you need is a hanger and a surface to hang it from. It’s quite simple and a fantastic technique to maintain order in those books. This would be ideal for storing children’s storybooks in bedrooms.

3. Repurposed Wooden Hanger Dish Drainer

This lovely dish drainer may be made by combining old wooden hangers. It actually does resemble those more costly dish drainers you find in department stores, while being such a simple job.

This would make an excellent present for anyone on your gift list or for a friend who is getting married. While you are concentrating on your dishes, there are several amazing inexpensive uses for Dawn dish soap.

4. Repurposed Wire Hanger Wreath

Create a lovely floral wreath for the front door or any other area of the house out of an old, common wire hanger.

This one is extremely straightforward and it’s a fantastic way to use up those old wire hangers. You can build one of these wonderful wreaths for each room in your home or create them as gifts if you have a lot of materials on hand. If actual flowers are in season, you can use them or artificial ones. It’s easy and a terrific way to affordably add colour to your décor.

5. Upcycled Wire Hanger Entryway Holder

To create this fantastic entryway holder, all you need is a simple wire hanger. Everything from scarves and gloves to keys can fit in this thing. Simply hang it up on the wall and utilise the hanger portion to store all of the necessities you need to have close at hand.

To add extra design, why not make a few of them and perhaps affix them to a painted board?

6. DIY Flip Flop Organizer

Do you adore sandals? I do, and I can provide several pairs as evidence. I don’t have a nice way to organise things other than to simply put them on the floor of my closet, though. Well, at least up until today. I really like the concept of using used wire coat hangers to hang flip flops.

7. Upcycled Wire Hanger Topiary

I cherish topiaries. They simply enhance the curbside porch so beautifully, and you can construct your own with a few used wire hangers.

I adore this design since the top circle, which is also where the wire hangers are included, gives it such a distinctive look. This is quite simple to do and you can use any kind of plant; perhaps use an evergreen one for the holidays. Fresh evergreen may be used in several gorgeous ways to decorate for Christmas.

8. Upcycled Wooden Hanger Chandelier

I am in love with this wooden hanger-based chandelier. It has such a distinctive appearance and is ideal for the breakfast nook or kitchen.
For this project, you’ll need a lot of hangers, and the idea is to form a circle out of them that you can hang over an existing light fixture. It’s quite simple, and when it’s done, it looks just stunning.
