Celebrate Earth Day on March 24 by getting your kids involved in some eco-friendly and entertaining crafts.
1. Felt Earth
Earth felt by Busy Hands An excellent initiative to support children of all ages in focusing and engaging is Busy Minds. A needle, thread, and felt are all you’ll need. When your child has almost finished sewing the two pieces together, we believe it would be fun to turn this craft into a small pillow by using two felt circles instead of one and stuffing a little cotton inside. In order to avoid having stitching on the back of the craft, if you choose to make a little earth cushion, sew the countries onto one side before sewing the two sides together.
2. Recycled robin

Send out a tweet! Forget about social media and instead, use recycled materials to create this adorable rockin’ robin project from Outside with Marghanita with your kids in honour of Earth Day. Is it possible that the source of these adorable robins was an old cereal box? Make these on Earth Day and set them aside to adorn your rustic Christmas table.
3. Recycled milk carton dump truck

Consider an enjoyable project to transform that milk container into something new before throwing it away. We think your kids will like this inventive milk carton dump truck tutorial from Origami Mommy just as much as we do. With its functional wheels (yes, those are also created from recycled items you probably already have around the house), the truck will provide kids with many hours of entertainment after the craft is finished.
4. Shaving cream Earth

This Earth Day, make a mess with a simple craft that only requires three materials: shaving cream, food colouring, and a paper plate. Teacher Liz, a blogger for Fit Kids Clubhouse, created this original Earth Day activity using inspiration from her own students as well as the book Diary of a Worm. We believe Dad won’t object if you and the kids use his shaving cream on this particular occasion.
5. Earth Day sign

First, gather all the materials needed to create this easy-to-make sign that was inspired by We Made That. Using objects that have already fallen off plants, we invite you to spend the day outside with your children collecting these things during a family nature walk (rather than plucking flowers off a plant). When you go back, lay out your supplies and start creating using just a few more items, such as glue, pencils, and construction paper.
