One of my children was a tween when I originally started my blog, while the other two were still very young. My art endeavours were mainly aimed towards the younger crowd. Process art predominates, with crafts being few. However, now that they are 17, 15, and 11, I have discovered that they actually enjoy creating things. They still adore process art—my 11-year-old son would happily spatter paint every day—but they are also becoming increasingly interested in crafts. particularly with their pals.

All of these activities are a lot of fun to do with a friend or a group of friends because teens are incredibly social. Most of these arts and crafts are something you might hang on your wall or use as props on a shelf because teens also enjoy to decorate their homes.

YARN CRAFTS FOR TEENS AND TWEENS:

1. YARN WRAPPED CARDBOARD LETTERS

Teenagers and tweens will really like making these letters to use as room décor, even though this yarn project is actually pretty appropriate for all ages. Create three of them to create a creative monogram!

2. GOD’S EYES

Such a classic activity, I can still picture me as a kid making these out of popsicle sticks. Here, to make them seem more genuine, we utilise actual twigs. Pom-poms can be made for the ends by older children. Kids as young as five and adults of any age can make this craft. Choosing the colour combinations is the most enjoyable part!

3. MELTED CRAYON BUTTERFLIES

For this craft, keep your used crayons. Create a bunch of butterflies, then hang them on the wall as a piece of art. In this post, I offer printable butterflies. Adult supervision is always advised when using a hot iron.

4. PAINTED PAPER PINWHEELS

One of my most well-liked paper projects has been this one. I make them for birthday celebrations, and the tweens meticulously paint every fold before adding gold paint accents. Gather a number of them and hang them up.

5. PAPER BAG STARS
Making these paper bag stars is SO simple and enjoyable. We frequently manufacture these and have adorned them in a variety of ways. To give them a luminous quality, we have painted, utilised chalk markers, and occasionally hole-punched them.

White bags or brown bags are both acceptable. Learn how to make these lovely stars out of simple paper lunch bags by reading this article.
